STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

Positioning A healthcare CEO as an industry THOUGHT leader

Our work with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s former CEO, Dr. Harold Paz.

DREAM BIG

Dr. Harold Paz, former CEO of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, started his new role less than a year before the world ground to a halt because of COVID-19. Our goal was to showcase Dr. Paz’s exemplary leadership and forward-thinking during his time as CEO. In a media landscape dominated by a single topic, we put Dr. Paz front and center, showcasing his leadership abilities and Ohio State’s innovation. We helped bring to the mainstream Dr. Paz’s thoughts on everything from the pandemic and racial injustice to telehealth and Ohio State’s cutting-edge developments.

CREATE YOUR MASTERPIECE

This project was about putting Dr. Paz and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center front and center. From bylined articles to video news packages highlighting the system’s important work, MediaSource created content highlighting issues that were important to Dr. Paz and the institution that could be used in nearly any circumstance. The video content brought to life Dr. Paz’s key areas of expertise. We added visuals of patients and other doctors to supplement the footage.

COMMAND THE SPOTLIGHT

Rather than putting the emphasis on one large story, the goal was to have Dr. Paz be a consistent presence in the community and in coverage of the OSUWMC and its work. Our PR team identified milestones such as the CEO’s one year anniversary at OSU and space in the new cycle surrounding key issues such as anti-racism and health care to insert Dr. Paz into the national conversation.
